This project was an initiative together with students of the Master's Degree Sustainable Development at the University of Basel. Based on an article, published in «Die Zeit» in 2010, we aimed to visualize all the different steps a shirt passes trough until finally ending up in a european retail store — for 4.95 €.
The design splits the retail price into the different steps and visualizes their percentage. On a second visualization, those steps where geographically assigned to grasp the way a t-shirt travels before ending up in the store.
